One of the most powerful gospel groups to ever be formed, THE SOWETO GOSPEL CHOIR, unprecedented winner of two consecutive Grammy's (2007/2008) is coming to the Esplanade for a rousing night of hip swaying, spirit moving songs and joyful jubilation.The Soweto Gospel Choir has played with the likes of STING, and PETER GABRIEL and numerous other contemporary stars to rave reveiws. THE NEW YORK TIMES calls them "Meticulous and Unstoppable," and the Scotland Herald states: "You dont have to be a believer to be inspired." The Soweto Gospel Choir was formed to celebrate the unique and inspirational power of African Gospel music. The 26-strong choir, under the direction of David Mulovhedzi and Beverly Bryer, draws on the best talent from the many churches in and around Soweto.

Playing to over 2 million spectators throughout Europe and around the world in over 400 performances, the Boogie Wonder Band know how to make a crowd feel the groove.
